OUR HISTORY
Four Decades of Operation
1991
Founded in London
Reusch was established with an initial focus on North Sea drilling consultancy, providing specialist engineering support to major operators in the UK Continental Shelf.
1994
Expansion into Oil & Gas
The company formalised its oil and gas division following the award of North Sea Block 16/26 operating rights, marking Reusch's entry as an independent operator.
2003
Entry into North American Markets
Reusch secured its first US drilling contracts in the Permian Basin, establishing a Houston office to service growing demand for directional drilling expertise.
2009
Mining Division Launched
Reusch diversified into mineral extraction, applying its subsurface expertise to base metals and industrial minerals projects across Western Canada.
2011
Canadian Operations Begin
The acquisition of Athabasca Oil Sands Phase I licences brought Reusch into the Canadian energy sector. A Calgary office was established to manage the portfolio.
2025
Today
With 500+ specialists across three countries and three active major projects, Reusch continues to set the benchmark for technical precision in global resource extraction.

LEADERSHIP
The Executive Team
Reusch is led by a senior team with an average of 20 years' industry experience across oil and gas, drilling, mining, and corporate finance.
Jonathan R. Mathers
Chief Executive Officer
Jonathan has led Reusch since 2008, having joined as VP of Drilling Operations in 2001. He holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University and has overseen the company's expansion into North American markets.
Fiona Caldwell
Chief Operating Officer
Fiona oversees all field operations across the UK, US, and Canadian portfolios. A Chartered Engineer with 22 years in offshore operations, she joined Reusch following senior roles at BP and Wood Group.
Friedrich Keyserling
Chief Technical Officer
Friedrich leads Reusch's engineering and innovation agenda. He pioneered the company's real-time drilling analytics programme and holds 14 patents in directional drilling systems.
Sarah Whitmore
VP, Oil & Gas
Sarah manages Reusch's hydrocarbon portfolio, including the North Sea and Permian Basin assets. Previously with Shell's upstream division, she is a Fellow of the Energy Institute.
Marcus Brennan
VP, Mining Operations
Marcus established Reusch's mining division in 2009, drawing on 18 years of experience in base metal extraction across four continents. He is based in Calgary.
Priya Sundaram
Chief Financial Officer
Priya manages the financial strategy and investor relations. A Chartered Accountant, she previously served as Finance Director at Hunting plc, the oilfield services company.
